Stephanie is one of Hip Sport Spine’s physiotherapists, who has a passion for helping people regain function, resolve pain and return to sport.
Stephanie has worked in musculoskeletal private practice in Toowoomba for over 5 years and has a strong background in orthopaedic and neurological rehabilitation having worked in sub-acute and outpatient services in Melbourne. Stephanie has also contributed to the cardiac and respiratory rehabilitation groups, and this gives her an excellent understanding of the challenges facing patients living with these chronic diseases and their specific needs.
Originally from Melbourne, Stephanie now calls Toowoomba home. Stephanie also has a passion for horses, competing in a number of equestrian disciplines over the years, but is currently focusing on horseback archery. Stephanie has participated and competed in a wide variety of other sports including field hockey, rowing, sailing, gymnastics and downhill skiing so has a good understanding of the demands of different sports. Stephanie has also worked with rugby, field hockey and football (AFL) teams as physiotherapist.
Stephanie has completed ongoing professional development exploring shoulder pain and dysfunction, vestibular dysfunction and dizzy patients, dry needling for musculoskeletal dysfunction and pain, real time ultrasound of the hip and core stabilisers to improve muscle activation and muscle energy techniques ,of the pelvis and lumbar spine. Stephanie has completed her honours thesis and published a paper exploring land and water based exercise for people with athritis. Stephanie has also completed a post-graduate diploma physiotherapy.
